以前紹介した
英単語の憶え方を使って単語帳を作っていこうと思います。単語はもちろん私がわからなくて調べた単語を載せてます。
1:
Caterer [countable]a person or company that provides and serves food and drinks at a party, meeting etc

2:
perspire[intransitive] formal
if you perspire, parts of your body become wet, especially because you are hot or have been doing hard work [= sweat]:
Ex.:Willie was perspiring heavily.

3:
relevant[adj]directly relating to the subject or problem being discussed or considered
Ex.His love of gambling is relevant to our divorce. : 彼のギャンブル好きと私たちの離婚は関係がある。
Ex.We will expeditiously evaluate all data relevant to this issue. : 私たちはこの問題に関連するすべてのデータを迅速に見直すつもりです。

4:
complexion[noun][countable] the natural colour or appearance of the skin on your face:
Ex:Drinking water is good for the complexion.
pale/fair/ruddy etc complexion (=a pale, fair, red etc face)
fair-complexioned/smooth-complexioned etc
[Look up a word starting with D or S for samples of headword or sentence pronunciations on the LDOCE CD-ROM] She was fair-complexioned with blonde hair.
2 [singular] the general character or nature of something:
Ex:Crime has risen under governments of every political complexion.
3put a different/new/fresh complexion on something
to make a situation or event seem different:
Ex:This document puts a different complexion on the matter.

inherit 1 [intransitive and transitive] to receive money, property etc from someone after they have died
Ex:He inherited a fortune from his grandmother.
2 [transitive] if you inherit a situation, especially one in which problems have been caused by other people, you have to deal with it:
Ex:The present government inherited a closed, state-dominated economy.
3 [transitive] to have the same character or appearance as your parents
Ex:Mr. Grass inherited his work ethic from his father.
4 [transitive] to get something that someone else does not want any more
Ex:We inherited the furniture from the previous tenants.

3 used to replace another thing of the same type [= alternative]:
Ex: the appointment of an alternate director

Dissipation[n][uncountable] formal
1 the process of making something gradually weaker or less until it disappears:
Ex; the dissipation of heat
2 the enjoyment of physical pleasures in a way that is harmful:
Ex: a life of dissipation
3 the act of wasting money, time, energy etc:
Ex: the dissipation of resources

17:contemplate [verb]

1 [transitive] to think about something that you might do in the future [= consider]:

It was as if he were contemplating something. : 彼はあたかも何かもくろんでいるようだった。
4 [transitive] to look at someone or something for a period of time in a way that shows you are thinking:

20:merely[adverb]
1 used to emphasize how small or unimportant something or someone is [=

used before the less important of two ideas in a sentence to emphasize the more important idea:

a miscellaneous set of things or people includes many different things or people who do not seem to be connected with each other:
Ex:a miscellaneous assortment of books
